The second book in this series, His Revenge, finds our protagonist barely out of the hospital before bullets start flying. From start to finish, Author John Howell has crafted a tale of unending, fast-paced action.
His Revenge picks up where the first book leaves off and my failure to have read book one, My Girl, left me with a few unanswered questions. However the book was still exciting. On his way to accept an award from the President of the United States, John Cannon stumbles into a new adventure at the hands of some old antagonists. If you haven’t begun the series yet, I would recommend that you start with book 1 if possible.
John Cannon does stop fighting and plotting long enough to romance two very lovely ladies and secure the financial status of the entire US before the story ends.
Kudos to writer, John Howell, on a well-crafted book that reveals his knowledge of politics, national finances, U. S. and foreign oil policies, and espionage!
