Find your gift and give it away!

My strategy for the opening months of 2018 comes from the bible and is the 6th chapter of Luke. “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Give 5

Start giving the Universe more credit for what you receive in life. How much you get is based on how much you give. That grudging, foot-dragging kind of giving doesn’t count. Looking around to see who’s watching you give isn’t measured.

Giving 4

Don’ hide or protect your heart when you give. Give openly. Praise! Push! Support! Some people will hate you when they see good things coming back to you. They won’t understand that God and the universe are the only reciprocators, and they will open doors for you that no man can shut. They will make ways out of no-ways.

Giving 2

As writers and bloggers, we worry about growing our followers and our audience. My strategy going forward is to write more and to write better. I’m going to take the focus off of who is following me and just enjoy the craft. I encourage you not to worry that your books are only 99 cents and sometimes free! Stick to your purpose and things will turn around.

Support your colleagues and don’t get hurt if you’re not as popular as others. Once you start giving back, others won’t be able to resist you. I wish nothing but success for Independent Authors this year. May this be the year that we grow tired of Congratulating each other!

  1. This is an excellent post, Linda. It is a true depiction of the Law of Attraction. Just beautiful! I am enjoying watching your blog blossom! 🙂 Hugs!

  2. Such an inspiring post, Linda! It’s easy to get hung up on the nuts and bolts of writing and promotion and lose sight of what’s truly important. I love that we’re all in this together, and success for any, should be celebrated by all. Your closing sentence brought a smile to my face.

Here’s to 2018 and a fabulous year for all!

  3. I love this post Linda. What a great reminder and perfect way to start off the new year. Thank you!

  4. Hi Linda! Very inspiring and true post! I truly believe this. It’s human nature to be a little hurt when you constantly support people that don’t support you in return, but at the same time, it’s very rewarding to give with an open heart, without expecting anything in return. I have a great feeling about 2018! All the best!😊❤️
