Happy Birthday, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.!

MLK Day copy

This Guy Changed the World!

  • The Civil Rights Act of 1964 will be just 56 years old this July.
  • The Voting Rights Act of 1965, allowing African Americans to cast votes, is just 55 years old.
  • The Fair Housing Act of 1968, which prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, or financing of property, is just 52 years old.

We owe all of these “Acts” of progress to the activism of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., yet he didn’t live to experience life in the segregation-free America he fought for.

Happy Birthday, Dr. King!

Imagine how much further Americans,  African Americans, and the world could’ve grown had he not been assassinated!
