WP The Daily Prompt—NEST
I have a green and white, floral patterned chair and a half. I call it, “My Chair”.
It resides in my bedroom, right in front of my television. Nobody dares sit in it but me.
When I say I’m going to my chair, everybody understands that they are not to disturb the queen. Its deep cushions envelope me. The comfortable arms surround me. I feel tucked in and peaceful.
I stretch my legs on its matching ottoman where, always within reach, reside my latest novel, laptop, remote control, kindle, and telephone. My nest is divine!
My chair is where I burrow in and dream to the sounds of Richard Elliot, Jill Scott, and David Sanborn. It’s where I watch my favorite shows, or plot out scenes and chapters for my new book. I don’t nest as often as I’d like, but when I do, It’s my best rest.
Where do you nest?
Gorgeous chair… and you can tell it’s a conduit of creativity and big ideas.

Now, that’s a chair! I love the nesting idea. I used yo have a lazy boy chair I felt the same about years ago…someday I will find a spot in the house to have my nest again.

Sitting there now, Mae. Just showed my daughter how to make a couple of Thanksgiving dishes and now I’m nesting.

I have a chair too. When anyone sits in it, I make them remove themselves…just as my parents did with me. Funny how that parent thing happens.
