The Daily Post —Wordpress Prompt/Silhouette
Once, Now, Tomorrow, and Imagine,
Silhouetted against the screen of my closed eyelids.
Once glances anxiously at his watch. He runs to catch up with Now.
Once has forgotten how to pace himself.
Now has little time for Once.
He is distracted by duty, success, and chaos!
He has allowed countless hours of time to slip from his memory.
Tomorrow waits!
His silhouette painted black against the gray wall.
He looms, and beckons as he paces back and forth,
waiting for the others to arrive.
Far beyond, Imagine flies the magic carpet of time.
Her patient mantra, “Yes, they’ll get here in time. They’ll get here.”
I LOVE this, Linda! Very clever and insightful. I think I particularly love the end with Imagine!

Bravo! That was excellent. My favorite part:
Once glances anxiously at his watch. He runs to catch up with Now.
Once has forgotten how to pace himself.
The whole poem was awesome, but the was a strong reminder for the here-and-now to slow down.
Fabulous!
